Overall, food onboard was very good, bordering on excellent in some cases, and missing the mark in others, but surpassing the “Big Ship” cuisine in quality and freshness. Waiters and waitresses are young, but diligent and pleasant. About 40 percent of the people onboard our cruise signed up for another voyage with the line. We personally loved the spacious cabins, the cute rocking chairs on deck and the friendliness of the crew. A knob on my wife's walker came off and the handle was loose. Mark Hood checked the busses for the knob and got a nut to replace it. Steven and Tiffany, the bus drivers were smooth and helpful with the walker. The guides on the busses were knowledgeable and entertaining. Bill Cummings, the hotel manager was everywhere helping and checking on things. American Harmony's uppermost deck features open-air seating and plenty of viewing space for those who want to take in the sights and sounds of the Columbia and Snake rivers.

The crew is wonderful and the chef did an outstanding job of catering to different needs. House keeping was very efficient and did a great job on the rooms. Beautiful facilities, best food I’ve ever had, and entertainment and beverages all included. Wyatt, the ship’s cruise director, the chef, the servers, and the gal that cleaned our room each day were absolutely the best we’ve experienced. Clearly, they’ve been trained well, and the desire to serve the guests on the ship was a part of the cruise line’s DNA. For example, from the moment we walked on the ship, Alicia, the ship’s Hotel General Manager, greeted us by name, and she was always magically around, making sure that we were delighted in every way. One passenger commented how she worked miracles to get a prescription aboard the ship, and we found in her a sincere desire to make us feel at home and well taken care of.
My husband and I recently returned from the tulip cruise on the spirit ship of American Cruise Lines. We arrived the night before and took the tour of Seattle on Friday morning. First cruise and had a great time with my sibling's October 2022. Well planned excursions and Bob the bus driver made the experience the best.
